It has been over 13 years since I discovered Pilates. A sedentary lifestyle had been causing me back pain, especially in the thoracic and cervical spine. As the pain worsened and began to limit me, I decided that enough was enough. I signed up to try various types of exercise—from strength training, Zumba, and aerobics to yoga and finally Pilates. The most noticeable change came with Pilates. After my very first class, I felt soreness in muscles I didn’t even know existed. 😊 After several sessions, the pain started to ease, my digestion improved, and my clothes started to feel less tight. That motivated me to keep going.
In 2019, I decided to share the positive effects of Pilates with others and began teaching. I completed an accredited course and earned my Pilates Instructor – Level I certificate. In 2020, I attended a workshop focused on exercise with small equipment, and in 2023, I expanded my qualifications with the Pilates Reformer Instructor certificate.
Teaching Pilates brings me great joy, and I love challenging the myth that Pilates is just gentle stretching where you don’t even break a sweat. I’ll show you that with regular practice, Pilates strengthens every part of the body, helps you focus and breathe deeper, and boosts your endurance and flexibility.
In my free time, besides Pilates, I enjoy studying healthy nutrition, which led me to complete the Healthy Nutrition Consultant course in 2025, finishing with a certification exam. Since then, at Fitlates Academy, I’ve been leading workshops focused on this area, offering consultations and creating personalized meal plans. My mission is to teach people that food shouldn’t be forbidden or feared. I help them discover how to enjoy it and prepare it in a healthy way—so that it becomes a natural ally on the journey to a healthier, more fulfilling life, not its main focus or an enemy. I believe in balance, simplicity, and a sustainable approach without extremes.
